Pre-Treatment Instructions
To ensure the best results and minimize the risk of side effects, please follow these guidelines before your appointment:
Avoid blood-thinning medications (unless prescribed) such as aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, or fish oil supplements for at least 3–5 days prior, as these can increase the risk of bruising.
Do not consume alcohol for at least 24 hours before your treatment.
Avoid skin treatments such as facials, peels, laser treatments, or waxing in the treatment area for 1 week prior.
Inform your provider if you:
Are pregnant or breastfeeding
Have a history of cold sores or herpes outbreaks
Are taking blood thinners or immune-suppressing medications
Come to your appointment with a clean face—no makeup, lotion, or skincare in the treatment area.
Post-Treatment Instructions
To promote optimal healing and minimize side effects after your SkinVive treatment:
Avoid touching, rubbing, or massaging the treated area for 24 hours unless instructed by your provider.
Avoid makeup and skincare products in the treated area for at least 24 hours.
Avoid alcohol, caffeine, hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, and intense exercise for 24–48 hours to reduce swelling and bruising.
Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning for at least 1 week post-treatment.
Do not undergo facials, laser treatments, or chemical peels for at least 2 weeks after treatment.
Use a gentle cleanser and moisturizer, and apply broad-spectrum SPF daily.
Mild swelling, redness, or tenderness is normal and should resolve within 2–7 days.
